Well here we are again. it was not such a lazy day today. Up early ,well 7.30 thats early for me. Mave is always up early.

We still had a problem with the boiler. It calls Flame failure and shows a red light. Wise ole Mave said its out of gas.  But we had this conversation yesterday I said. And yes it was out of gas then wasnt it she said. So  let me explain. I have fitted a couple of  automatic changeover regulators to the system over the past 10 years  and they have failed. So  for about a year now I have been locking off half my gas. That way when it runs out the regulator  shows red and I  then open the remainder and replace the empty ones. Because the regulator hasnt been turning red. That way I will never get caught with all empty cells. So  this morning I  opened up the spare gas. then  we tried  the hot water. Whoomph the burner tries to fire up. But  that silly flame failure come on again. See I said its not down to low gas  . So  a quick call to  the plumber and on his arrival. Let me check  your supply first. You have 2 empty and 2 full but the regulator hasnt changed. No I agreed. well he took all the casing off the boiler.Which is only 3 years old anyway.  he tried the hot tap whoomph it lit and fired up no probs. Blast I said why does it allways do that. It was not working half hour ago I said. So while it was all opened up  he said  everything inside is brand new and clean,so its not the boiler at fault.

he went on to explain that the way I  only run half the supply and wait till its all gone is my problem. You let air into the system and the boiler tries to fire up but you get pockets of gas and pockets of air. he let it run for a while and it worked fine. See mavis said I to;d you it was down to gas. I admit defeat. So  Can you get me another regulator. Yes he said I will come back in the morning and fit it.

When I read  the receipt for the one he bought later on I saw that it said twin unit. So I  walked down to his place and  as I approached his gate a man followed me. hello  I said are you coming in. No not today. Oh I said a bit puzzled. Did you want to see Ken then . Why is he home is it convenient What I asked him ,he said we are looking to buy  it. Oh dear I said I dont live here its not my place. I rung the bell. ken  said Oh come in Ray. I said youve got visitors. So  after a moment of confusion They were ushered in and I saw the box on the table with the new regulator in so I opened it to see it only had 2 outlets. Wheres ken gone ? He is outside. So as I left I called out wrong one ken I need 4 outlets youve only bought 2. Its fine he explained you have an adaptor to take 4. So Tomorrow before we go to london he will fit it. Then we have 2 replacement gases. that should sort my problem.

We took louis for a run in the park so he was a happy chappy. Today mave is a bit calmer and me to. We are hyped up for the decision tomorrow back on chemo or  on the Adams trial. Even that is not a guarantee. But then nothing is. So its up early and a day in london again. My next blog  should see both of us in a happier place. So watch this space.
