I made a phone call last night to  my old Army Pal. We have kept in touch since 1958.  I havent  had any emails from him for over a week and I got woried.

He has had a few heart problems and prostrate on top. But  all was well. He has been so busy   decorating and the computer was packed away. Its amazing what we find to chat about  for 1 hour and 6 mins. But we manage to have a few belly laughs. He recons he will be back to normal next week. Theres not many of us left now.

I have been updating the software on my Ipad. it  wouldn’t do it. It kept saying  you are not connected when clearly I was. The problem was first you have to update itunes. Then  go in to  internet security. To set settings it claimed were wrong when again clearly they were not. Then it was happy to start the update. 58 mins and counting it said. Now I find 2 aps dont work. is it worth an update when things were ok before. I never learn. If anyone is interested I found a neat  aps that will let you drag a finger over a map and it will give you the mileage covered. So when we go camping we can use the app. Whats around me. Then open maps  find where we are parked  and  find the village or town and  drag a finger  and it will tell us how far it is to either walk or bus. Amazing.

For those  who havent read my Coffee Time Poetry.

I thought I would Drop this in today.

                    DRIBBLES.
When early morning cold damp mist lends itself to rain.
We watch its tortured journey dribble down our window pane.
When the noonday sun pokes out its face
        to warm this patterned pane
It will turn it all to steam
        and drive away the rain.
The sun moves on an evening breeze
        drawing moisture from the sea`s
To start its journey once again
to bring us cool damp mists,
          and tomorrows rain.

Mavis was hoovering and louis doesn't like it.
So When she finished louis came and sat by me.
I said don't worry its all gone now,you can do what ever it is dogs do.
I said aint you got any hobbies. ?.
Go read a book or chew a bone or chase cats.
Mavis heard and said daft dog. I said don't call him daft.
She said I was talking to you , what she actually said was you daft sod.
I thought she loved me Woof Woof.
Later we took louis to Victory park for his run. A bit blustery but warm.
I have that uneasy feeling that I ve not done something but I dont know what .
I got my brushes out this afternoon a nd did a bit to my painting.
If it dont go right then I lose heart. But I will persevere.
