Yesterday was the weirdest Sunday I have had for a long time.

We got up and was at the Station ready to go to London but the bus service they had laid on didnt turn up. There was Line workings so they had laid on a bus service to Faversham.

They didnt know where the bus was and everyone was getting irate. There was another one for an hour so we couldn’t rely on that turning up so we finally jumped back in the car and traveled to Faversham.

Here the man working on the station said that the person that would know what was going on was locked in his office so even he couldn’t find out where the bus was. I warned him there are a lot of irate passengers back at Whistable. He said also that we were lucky as no trains ran Saturday night as there had been a landslide and they had just cleared it. We finally got a train but we were an hour late then the show started at 2.30.

Three landslides are causing train delays and cancellations between Swanley and Chatham. Southeastern said train services might be cancelled, delayed or revised at short notice.

A replacement bus service is currently being run between Swanley and Chatham.

Some trains are continuing to run, but at reduced speeds. Network Rail said the first landslide happened about a mile from Longfield Station in the Meopham direction, at 6.20am today.

At first trains could continue to travel, but they were eventually stopped at 8.20am. Shovels were used to clear the line and it reopened just after 10.30am.

A second landslide occurred at Sole Street train station just before noon. Just after 4pm, a further landslide occurred. A Southeastern spokesman said: “There has been a further landslip at Farningham Road.

Such chaos for those traveling but luckily we were ok but we did go past the land slide very very slowly. Then the guard told us we were having to go slow as we had a train in front that was stopping at all stations. When we did arrive at Victoria and walked the platform that train was parked right in front of ours bumper to bumper. When the guard had said we were following a train he really meant it.We finally got a train but we were an hour late then the show started at 2.30.

When we arrived in London our Son and DIl were waiting at the barrier and the car was just outside, bu guess what it was the Chinese New Year so many people and so many cars with roads blocked off for the parade, it was murder trying to get the Sadlers Wells Peacock Theatre.

We finally made it and got a parking space opposite the theatre this meant we got there just on time, we were at Bollywood.

Featuring a cast of multi-talented performers, this turbo-charged, joyfully uplifting show is a riot of swirling colours and sensational dance scenes choreographed by one of Bollywood’s top young choreographers, Vaibhavi Merchant. The show is packed full of the latest high-energy Bollywood hits, featuring music by the award-winning duo Salim and Sulaiman Merchant.

Seen by over two million people worldwide, this heart-warming show continues to evolve, incorporating homages to the latest Bollywood blockbusters. It is both a delightful love letter to the world of Indian cinema and a truly extraordinary evening of music and dance.

It was so good it  had my DIL and myself in tears at the end just because of the energy and dance of the young people on the stage.

It told the history of bollywood through the years. 1970,1980 and up to the present day. each time there was an encore they came back and did new dances.

We came out and had a lovely meal in a restaurant oposite  and a long chat but it was 6.30pm so we had to make tracks for home.

My son dropped us off at Victoria and we got a train home. guess what it stopped at every station so we took such a long time when we finally got to our car and home.

What a long day I had a feeling of a cold coming but it was really my voice changing so much I do get very hoarse at times.- but I was so pleased I had managed (with my stick) to do so much walking and climbing staircases I was shattered though and have had a lovely sleep.
